Saxon

(this is in the metals category as he is actually cast bronze on a brass base. I do not believe I have the rights to sell this, so please don't ask.)

This is a small sketch model of Saxon, one of the main characters from Mouse Guard. Haven't heard of it? You should check out the website and start reading the comics. I got obsessed with them this semester after finally getting my hands on a copy of both the first comics and the table top RPG. Which, I must say, as a seasoned D&D player, is definitely worth your money.

He is made of silicon bronze, nickel silver, brass, cloth, paint, and natural plant material. I wanted to experiment making a sculpture that blends some of my model making skills I learned in architecture with working in wax/casting. I truly believe this to be a first sketch but I had a blast working on it and want to explore more sculptures like this.

Feel free to critique me but realize that I do not see this as the highlight of wax working or painting a sculpture. This is literally my first time! I would love links to tutorials and such, though Or anything awesome I should know about.
